Hartree Music is my online home for a variety of musical activities. I’ve worked in a variety of community projects and charities, from HIV/AIDS support to community music projects with Scots Music Group (SMG) and others, including projects involving those who have experienced homelessness and mental health problems. I am currently the Development Worker at SMG and teach mixed instrument classes there.

I love what one of my students once called ‘applied music’ – playing for dancing and supporting musicians to share their music in their communities. And I’m always writing tunes in my head, some of which make it out into the real world where they’ve been played in sessions and recorded by great musicians such as Sarah-Jane Summers and Karen Tweed.
